Grooming
The Teagarden Pet Salon and School grooming program was developed to assist in the high demand for skilled groomers. We are members of the Iowa State Professional Dog Groomers Association (IaSPDGA), International Professional Groomers (IPG) and Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce. We have over 50 years of combined grooming experience.
School
The Program consists of 400 hours of training over a 4 month period. Students will work with a minimum of 4-6 breeds. The grooming applications that are taught, along with handling techniques, are complemented by a structured self-study program presented by a dedicated instructor and close supervision. AKC guidelines are followed along with current information in the grooming industry. Our program offers a hands on approach to grooming. Approximately 90% of your time will be spent working with animals. Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of
